Marin Ivan was born in Bánská Bystrica, Slovakia on 27.4. 1979. He's a self-taugh guitarist, started in the age of 12. In 1998 he studied vocation school as an display-artist.

In year 2001 he travels to Prague along with his bassguitar and lives with his friend. From 2002 he's playing in Prague's jazz clubs and latino-jazz muzic bars and tours with Miloš Dodo Doležal and host Steve Marshall Wilkinson and a drummer Roman Lomtadze playing Jimi Hendrix's music. He begins to cooperate with Michal Pavlíček in Czech TV's show Na Klouboučku along with Roman Dragoun, R. Lomtadze, V. Dyk, Peter Wajsar. From 2003 he started playing on music fairs for companies like Line6, Sandberg, Aguilar, Ashdown. Then he came into B.S.P. (Ota Balage, Kamil Střihavka, Michal Pavlíček) and a year after played on a tour with the first Czech Superstar Aneta Langerová. After 2 years of performing he entered band Krucipusk and performs with Gába al Dhaba, who finished 3rd in the second year of Czech Superstar. By the year 2006 he performed in a fusion instrumental Michal Pavlíček's trio in this lineup: Michal Pavlíček – guitar, Miloš Meier – drums, Martin Ivan – bass and in less than a year M. Pavlíček enters Beat's Hall of Fane and performs in front of sold-out Sazka Arena along with symphony orchestra of Český Rozhlas under command of conductor Vladimír Válka, where Martin accompanies stars like Lenka Dusilová, Jana Koubková, Matěj Ruppert, Tomáš Hájíček, Bára Basiková, Kamil Střihavka, Monika Načeva, Vilém Čok, Noid Bárta, Iva Marešová, Vojtěch Dyk, Jiří Hrubeš). They release a CD and DVD under the Sony BMG and after year's performance they teamed up with B. Basiková. In year 2007 Martin performs in M. Pavlíček's musical Dáma s Kaméliemi which has been released on a CD. Nowadays he's on a tour with M. Pavlíček and B. Basiková and he performs in band Precedens as a replacement for Adam Stivín. He records an solo album of Michal Pavlíček www.michalpavlicek.com along with drummer Miloš Meier, performs in musical in Ta Fantastika theater and is working on his solo album Basstation, new album with band Mothers Funkers with drummer Michal Kolouch Daněk and guitarist David Pavlík who works with the example of Lešek Semelka and many other projects ...!
